north to south), our country has its name. In his fourth and
last trip to America, in October 1502, when Cristóbal Colon
crossed the front Costa Rican Caribbean coast, he was amazed
for its beauty, and he said that it was a " Costa Rica " (Rich Coast).
Limon, with its Afro – Caribbean culture, offers the visitor
a special environment different from the rest of the country,
with its reggae, calypso and soca flavor .
In Costa Rica’s Caribbe, tropical forest’s charm becomes present. As much in north as in south, big areas of Humid Tropical Forest, offer the visitor a special atmosphere that allows him to admire its beauty, in the height tree’s crown in Rainy Tropical Forest aerial tram, in Tortuguero Canals or in some beaches of the south, where the coral reefs are also within reach of the tourist.
